The Hawthorne Hotel is proud to be the Title Sponsor in the annual Salem Chamber of Commerce's Living Green Fair that is taking place in Salem this weekend. It is happening at Old Town Hall, from 10 am to 3 pm and just a couple of blocks from the Hawthorne Hotel.
There is so much to see and do including:
-- a band that eschews electricity from the grid, using "leg power" supplied by bicycles, audience participation is encouraged
-- a film about a truck garden that is literally growing in the bed of a pick-up truck, teaching children about sustainability
