This photo is of the Comcast team that came to the Hawthorne Hotel on Tuesday to cut over our cable signal to a High-Definition signal. We were visited by such a huge group of technicians because we are the first hotel in New England and about the second or third in the country to receive this service. They all wanted to be on the ground to see how to make it work.
The beauty of this installation style is that we have NO BOXES in our guest rooms. Just a simple television, with a very simple-to-use remote control that does not need an engineering degree to understand.
This was a really important issue to all of us here at the hotel, because we like to provide our guests with the best, but to be able to make things simple-to-use is equally an issue.
Thanks to this group, giving the V for victory sign (and the rest of you who were not in the photo) for providing us with a seamless cut-over, and a nice new service for our VERY IMPORTANT GUESTS here at the historic, but technologically-forward, Hawthorne Hotel!
We are doing this on a six-month trial basis, so let us know what you think of this new, upgraded service!
I hope to see you here.
