Senator Scott Brown Lunches at the Hawthorne Hotel

Left to right:  Juli Lederhaus, General Manager of the Hawthorne Hotel and Salem Chamber President; Senator Scott Brown; Karen Cotton, Director of Catering of the Hawthorne Hotel

Today the Salem Chamber of Commerce hosted Senator Scott Brown at a Chamber Membership Luncheon here at the Hawthorne Hotel.

There were nearly 200 people in attendance, and the event went off very nicely.  Senator Brown spoke about his work as our Senator, and how he has reached across the aisle to get things done.  He joked that if he were to rely solely on members of his own party, he would have a group about the size of our table of 10.

The Hawthorne Hotel is often chosen as the venue for business and political events due to the high quality of our service.  This lunch certainly was a great example, as we opened the buffet tables at noon, and all guests were finished eating by 12:40 pm, so the speeches could begin early and end early.  This left plenty of time for mixing and mingling afterwards, and allowed everyone to get back to work in short order.

I hope you will consider choosing the Hawthorne Hotel for your next business meeting or social event, so I can see you here, too!

Juli
