Easter and History at the Hawthorne Hotel

One of our staff members, Karen Cotton, showed me this photo yesterday. It was taken, we guess, in the late 1980s, and Karen is in the photo, although I doubt you would be able to find her. She was masquerading as the Easter Bunny that year, at least for this photo.

So why does she have this photo after all these years? Because this is a picture of her family, the O'Kane's who celebrate many happy family occasions at the Hawthorne Hotel.
The most recent O'Kane family event that took place here was the wedding of Karen's niece, Cortney Pupolo, just last month.  You can see Cortney in the photo above -- she is the one in the white hat in the center of the group of children.

We love being part of family events, here at the Hawthorne Hotel.  If you have any "recent history" photos that show the Hawthorne Hotel even as part of the background, please consider letting us scan them to add them to our history collection.

And remember, here in Salem, Massachusetts, we are "Still Making History" so come be part of that!

I hope to see you here.

Juli
