Tiny Destination Wedding at the Hawthorne Hotel

This month we hosted a wedding for a couple from Alabama, who chose our hotel for their destination wedding.  They and the entire wedding party flew up here for the sole purpose of having a wonderful wedding in an historic hotel.

We thought you might enjoy seeing some of the photos of how we handled this very special event.  In the top two photos, you see the mezzanine.  This is furniture that already "lives" in this area, and it was arranges this way by the couple themselves.  (We offered to do it for them!)

The stationed hors d'oeuvres table, set just outside the Pickman Room, where the dinner was to take place.

The decorative fireplace in the Pickman Room with a beautiful floral arrangement by Peter Barter Florists.

The table and wedding cake.
The menu.

We loved that they chose the Hawthorne Hotel simply based on their research on the Internet, and their passion for historic hotels.  We also were thrilled that they were flexible about dates, since this wedding was held on a Monday night -- typically a slower night of the week for us, so we were really able to focus on this tiny wedding, and give it our very special attention.

I hope you enjoy this insider's view of life at the Hawthorne Hotel, and I hope to see you here!

Juli
