Hawthorne Hotel Donates Ballroom to Worthy Cause

On Thursday, March 3 there will be a movie screening in the Ballroom of the Hawthorne Hotel, as a benefit for the Salem Common Neighborhood Association.  The screening is of a movie that was partially shot here in Salem.  The proceeds will go to the Association and their efforts to preserve and enhance the Salem Common.

One of the things that you may not already know about the Hawthorne Hotel is our generosity to the worthy causes in Salem, and many other places.  We receive about 30 donation requests each week, and our donations committee is very generous, sending out about 20 gift certificates each week.  This is in addition to the other kinds of donations we make, such as donating our Ballroom and other function rooms to a number of worthwhile charities, as well as our cash contributions to our pre-selected annual list of charities and non-profits.
