Salem, MA -- One of the places I always take out-of-towners to see when they come to visit me is to Abbot Hall in Marblehead. Of course, the iconic "Spirit of '76" is what everyone wants to see, but "touring" the entire hall is so worth the time, especially when one of the docents are there to assist.
The Salem News wrote this terrific article about Abbot Hall today, so I thought I would take the opportunity to share their link. I am uncertain how long the link will be valid, but the real pleasure is in touring this fabulous and historic place rather than reading about it. So don't miss it when you come to Salem for a visit. Best of all, it's free (although they would appreciate a free-will donation.)

I hope to see you here (or there!)
