My Latest Prize.

I just had to share one of my latest acquisitions with you; a 1920s silverplated trophy for cake decoration from the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco! This is what it reads:

GREETER'S DAY

DECORATED CAKE CONTEST

CALIFORNIA INDUSTRIES EXPOSITION

1924

FIRST PRIZE

ST. FRANCIS HOTEL

CHAS. R. STRANDBERG

PASTRY CHEF.

Isn't this the cutest? I'm not sure if this is a keeper or a seller. Just that fact that it's from one of my favorite hotels and for a cake contest, it's one of the sweetest trophies I've ever seen.

Just had to share...

Vignettes

Photo from parishotelboutique.com

I just love anything displayed a grouping. Vintage paintings, trophies, hotel silver, china, the list goes on and on...I had fun taking photos (below) of some of the oil paintings on my website and grouping them all together. They make so much of a statement as a vignette. What are some of your favorite vignettes?
