October is closer than it seems! In case you want to know, here are some "save the date/time" pieces of information for you for those of you interested in all of the festivities that are part of Haunted Happenings each October here in Salem, MA.

· The Haunted Happenings Grand Parade - Theme is “Around the World” takes place on Thursday, October 7 from 6 -8 p.m. This is a great event for the entire family, with it being a very special event for children, and for those of us who live in Salem.

· The Halloween fireworks and grand finale is scheduled for October 31 at 10:00 p.m.

· Trick or Treating with the Mayor where businesses give out free candy starting at 5:30 p.m. will take place on Friday, October 8.

· Mayor’s Night Out, where attractions and museums are asked to give free admission to Salem residents runs from 3 – 10 p.m. Friday, October 8

Here is some further information, in case you are interested in getting your business' name out in front of all the people who come to Salem in October, the City is looking for sponsors of the Haunted Happenings light pole banners. If you have any interest in doing that, either to promote your business, or to help Salem just look her spiffiest, please contact Ellen Talkowsky at City Hall here in Salem. Her phone number is 978-745-9595 (well, actually that is City Hall), and her email address is ETalkowsky@Salem.com

I look forward to seeing you here.
