Je t'aime Paris. No better words best describe the City of Lights. Grand Rapids' brightest showed up in full force, packing Bar Divani and the adjacent gallery with two hundred guests on a Tuesday night. From Paris with Love is an event hosted by
Kelly Jansens Boos, Cara Ontiveros and Jimmy Le in honor of Kelly's friends JJ Gomes and John Christian. This is JJ and John Christian's first visit to the United States and Kelly and the gang couldn't think of a better way to showcase JJ's fashion clothing line than to throw a party. Joining the line up is Studio Jewel Bead Girl, Lisa Lehmann's hand crafted jewelry line. Bar Divani matched the occasion with a selection of French wines and small plates menu. Not to be overshadowed with the festive occasion, yours truly, debuted my DJ skills by setting the soundscapes to global beats from France, Morocco, India, Russia, Spain to name a few.

It was a great way to kick off what is slated to be a very busy social season in Grand Rapids this fall. You'll never know, DJ Aquino might be back spinning in a cool place near you.
