Fun "Ghost Story" by a Former Guest

We have a new feature on our website -- we are able to invite people to "tell us their stories" about memories of their visits to the Hawthorne Hotel, or similarly related things. This past week we received one that Kristie Poehler, our Director of Sales and Marketing called "the best yet" so I thought I would share it with you, fair blog reader.

I did enjoy it myself, and hope you do too!

If you have a Hawthorne Hotel story to share, we would love to hear from you as well. Just go to www.HawthorneHotel.com

We've stayed at the Hawthorne a few times but the very first time we stayed
we arrived late. I left the room to get ice. As I walked down the hallway I
heard a whisper of what I thought was my name. Mind you this was our first stay,
at night, in October in a hallway that reminded me of The Shining. I froze. I
hear the noise again, then a "pssst ....." I finally realized it was my husband
trying to call to me down the hall from the room but was whispering as to not
wake other guests! Certainly a scary start to our Halloween weekend in
Salem!
