Most of us have unfortunately experienced or known someone who has battled breast cancer. Let's make this October the month to do our part in the fight against it. Encourage a friend or loved one to get her mammogram. Early detection is key.

Please take it upon yourself to get educated and proactive in this fight over this horrible disease. For more information on how you can help, check out these websites: Susan G. Komen , the American Cancer Society, and the National Cancer Institute.

Think Pink!

Find the Photo Contest!

Today I posted some of my favorite pink images, but was not able to find photo credit for this beautiful one above.

So, I thought we'd have a little fun. The first person to leave a comment with the original photo credit of this image gets a pink prize. Not sure what it is yet...it could be vintage or new, but definitely PINK!

Now... let's find the photo!

We have a winner...Mel congrats! The photo is by Lisa Rigby & featured on Style Me Pretty, here. Yay! Thanks Mel!

Inspiring Images...pink

Happy Monday! Back to pink again for some inspiring images that I've recently come across. In fact, here's a nod to Pantone's color of the year, Honeysuckle Pink.

Enjoy some of these pink images from some talented sources and have a great week!

Pink & Gold Gift Guide

pink and gold gift guide

I was just thinking how much I love pink & gold as a combo. It's becoming a recurring theme every holiday.

Last night I was playing around making a gift collage of some of my favorite things using Polyvore (A bit of a time waster, but sure is fun making collages!)

Here is my first attempt at Polyvore. I'm hoping that next time I can figure out how to make it interactive! Also, I think if you click on an item, it will take you to the Polyvore site. Oh my, I am still learning...

Find the Photo!

It's that time again to play "find the photo"!

This lovely image of a pink and gold French chair has been floating around Tumblr with no photo credit. Gosh, I would love to put it in my house. Isn't it divine?

Anyone want to take a shot?

MYSTERY SOLVED!

In less than 12 hours!

Thanks to Shilo at Yikes Machine, this amazing photo is by Jamie Beck via her beautiful blog, From Me To You.

I love this game!

What Color Was Your Room?

Remember when you were a kid... your girlfriends had either a pink or a blue bedroom? Perhaps one of your cousins may have had a yellow room, but they weren't as common. It was easy. Pink or blue? Which were you?

I was a "pink" girl and still am. I swoon for the color pink, even though nothing in my house is pink except for my day planner.

I thought I'd share some pretty retro images I found online since I'm in "pink" mode. Let's go back in time for a moment...

Perhaps you lived in a pink house...

and rode a pink bicycle...

You couldn't wait to go to the fair or carnival and eat cotton candy and candy apples...

If you were like me, after school my friend and I would walk two blocks to the big corner candy shop...that was the highlight of my day...

birthday parties were the best...especially the rose-adorned cakes..in pink, of course

Did you type your book reports with a pink typewriter?

and dream about your wedding day?

I always imagined bridesmaids dressed in pale pink, and funny...mine were. Well, actually it was fuchsia pink!

What fun it was going to the movie house...

or the drive-in theater...

or taking a cruise in your pink car?

Now we're all grown up and times are different, but some of us still have a passion for pink...Do you?

Tell me...was your room pink or blue? I bet you remember!
