A Cool Activity to Help You Beat the Heat

As you know if you've driven through Dunkin Donuts recently, Captain America: The First Avenger is opening this Friday. In a summer filled with superhero movie adaptations, this seems to be the one with the most buzz, especially about whether or not the movie does have a surprise ending after the credits. Apparently the official version shown to the press did not have the ending, but later public sneak peaks did. Whatever they send us, we'll play it in our cool theaters in affordable and comfortable 2D, starting Friday and Saturday at (11:15 AM), (1:50), (4:30), 7:15 and 10:00; and Sunday-Thursday at (11:15 AM), (1:50), (4:30) and 7:15.

Stake Land is a movie that Roger Ebert loves: "Director Jim Mickle, who co-wrote the film with his star Nick Damici, has crafted a good-looking, well-played and atmospheric apocalyptic vision." The San Francisco Chronicle agrees wholeheartedly: "Stake Land bursts with action, ideas and interesting characters."
Stake Land will grace our Screening Room Friday and Saturday at (12:15), (2:45), (5:15), 7:30 and 9:50; and Sunday-Thursday at (12:15), (2:45), (5:15) and 7:30.

I thoroughly enjoyed last Thursday's midnight premiere of Harry Potter 7B: enjoyed the film, enjoyed shooting the breeze with lots of dyed-in-the-wool Potter-lovers like myself (books and films), enjoyed leaving the theater with a sense of resolution, exhaustion, and gratitude. I'm planning to see it at least once more while it's in theaters in order to catch some of the nuance I might have missed the first time -- at 1:45 am, or so.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 3D will screen on Friday and Saturday at (12:30), (3:45), 6:45 and 9:30; and Sunday-Thursday at (12:30), (3:45) and 6:45.

Finally, Woody Allen's marvelous Midnight in Paris returns for another beguiling week starting Friday and Saturday at (12:00), (2:30), (4:45), 7:00 and 9:45; and Sunday-Thursday at (12:00), (2:30), (4:45) and 7:00.
