2011 Rotary Scholarship Salem History Calendars on Sale Now

Every year our local Salem Rotary Club produces a unique calendar, made up of photos of historic Salem, usually with a theme. This year's theme is "Downtown Salem, Retail and More. . "

If you, or someone you know, grew up in Salem, or if you love Salem history, this may be exactly what you want. In addition to being a lovely calendar, this item also is a raffle ticket. And not just any raffle ticket -- this is a ticket where you could possibly win 52 different times. Each week we draw one lucky recipient of $100 from the pot of tickets entered. Each week all of the tickets go back in the pot (including the winner) to be drawn for again the following week.

This calendar makes a great gift, and if you think of it as a three-way gift, you will realize that you simply need to buy some. This gift gives the recipient a lovely, historic calendar, it provides the recipient with a chance to win each and every week, and it provides scholarships for Salem High School students. Isn't it nice to think of a gift that can give this many ways?

We have them for sale at the front desk of the Hawthorne Hotel, and 100% of each sale is passed in to the Salem Rotary Club for its good works.

I hope you will consider buying some for yourself, your friends, and your relatives. At only $20 each, these make a very special gift, indeed.
