Sounds Like FUN!!!

Fun, fun, fun!
I just received this on my FaceBook page, and thought it would be of interest to you, fair blog reader. If you like to laugh, and want something fun to do here in Salem on August 20, 21 or 28 (within an easy walk from the Hawthorne Hotel) you should consider attending:

Friday-Saturday, August 20, 21 and Saturday, August 28
at the Griffen Theatre, 7 Lynde Street, Salem.

Tickets will be $12 in advance, $15 at the door,

Advance tickets to three shows, including the final night are only $30.
Seating is limited, so reserve today.

Join the fun as 26 comedians compete in the Witch City Comedy Contest for a $200 cash prize.
Winners will be determined by audience votes, which is you!

Some of the comedians have been performing at professional clubs in Boston, others have had just a handful of performances, but all are new to the comedy scene.

Each show will be hosted by Erik Rodenhiser, an actor/comedian, and also feature a closing set by a professional Boston comic.

Friday, August 20, at 8 p.m.
Featuring Alison Debnam of Salem, Matt D. from Somerville, Rowley native Matt Kona of South Boston, Renee Reynolds of Burlington, Peter Bakula of Peabody, Ed Vezina of Lowell, Alynn Allman of Clinton, Beverly native Jeff Koen of Newburyport, and Dan Burke of Groveland.

Saturday, August 21, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The 7 p.m. show will feature Kellie Donlon of Danvers, Gordon Ulen of Peabody, Tim Messenger of Boston, Dan Lee of Wakefield, Peabody native Bob Gigliotti of Essex, Chris Cameron of Newburyport, Jim McQuaid of Boston, and Dave Twohig of Wakefield.

The 9 p.m. show will feature Winston Kidd of Andover, Jeff Epstein of Marblehead, Chris Dimitrakopoulos of Peabody, Kristin Seltman of Boston, Hamilton Johnson of Methuen, Joe Espinola of Peabody, Mac Livingston of Methuen, Methuen native Chris Poublon of Dracut, and Mike Abramson of Newton.

The final show determining the winner will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 8 p.m.
